Requiem For a Hard Drive - A sad story about a dear Western Digital 250GB IDE hard drive that kicked the bucket. The song is Kronos Quartet - Winter Lux Aeterna, a song featured prominently in the film Requiem For a Dream. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME or you will likely cause permanent irreparable damage to your hard drive. I am currently in the process of a do-it-yourself attempt at data recovery in the form of buying an identical drive and swapping the logic board or head assembly (professional jobs cost $800+ and use a clean room, but the data on this drive was mostly free if you know what I mean ;-)
